In one of the most beautiful seasons, Sylt presents itself from a very special side.

The harmonious, smooth strokes with warm, aromatic oil result in deep relaxation and soothe your soul while dissolving your physical tension.

Gentle, rhythmical circular strokes draw the lymphatic fluid onwards, always in rhythm with your breathing, to produce a deeply calming effect that facilitates detoxification and relieves swellings, strengthening the immune system as it does so. The correspondence between Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn provides us with great insight into the thoughts and feelings of these two siblings. There was almost nothing which they did not tell each another. Their main topics included music and politics, but they also engaged in their share of gossip.
They survived their times of separation with lively letters in which they didn’t always behave themselves and certainly didn’t mince their words when it came to the artistic qualities of prominent figures of their time such as Goethe, Paganini or Franz Liszt.
The piano assumes its own lead role in the interplay between letters and text. You will also hear compositions that are passionately discussed and debated in the letters.
How fortunate that there were neither telephones nor email in the 19th century!
